There is no better time than today to celebrate the important people and moments in your life with a unique, handcrafted,
personalized pencil portrait gift.
I’m Darla Dixon; an artist located in Snellville, Georgia. I create pencil portrait gifts based on your special photographs. Although I am located in the Atlanta area, I
have shipped my art worldwide.
Because your portrait is drawn from a photo – it is easy to place an order! Capturing a moment in the lives
of fidgety toddlers or even interested poodles can be challenging; the supplied photograph means that studio time is not required.
All my pencil portraits are bespoke (custom made only for you) and hand drawn. Each portrait is as unique as the subject.
I’m proud that my artwork brings joy. One of my customers commented that my portraits are a special "gift of the heart"
Another said that my portraits have a "Mother's touch."
A large part of my business, and one of my greatest joys, is drawing portraits of babies and children. I encourage you
to have a look at the girls and boys portraits I have drawn.
Portraits of a group of people or pets are sometimes hard to achieve. Getting everybody together in the same room at the same time seems a daunting task.
I am able to create a combined portrait based on your separate photographs. My Featured Portrait page shows how I accomplish this, and the changes that I often incorporate to make a final portrait that is worthy of any mantle.
I work with my clients to make sure that the photographs supplied will work for a composed final product.
I am always available to evaluate your photos to determine if they are good candidates for combining into a portrait, or
just for a pencil portrait in general, I always enjoy the opportunity to give advice with no obligation for you to order.
My pencil portrait art contact form makes it convenient to get a quote. No pressure, I promise.
I also create portrait drawings of adults (either Memorial Portraits or executive portraits) and families. Memorial portraits of someone who has died are often requested as a way to honor a loved one who has passed
away. I create memorial portraits of stillborn babies also. Having a portrait to display is often a helpful in healing and
dealing with a loss. I invite you to browse the gallery to see all of the different types of portrait gift drawings available.
Consider a couples portrait (great for Valentine's Day, engagements and Anniversaries), portraits of babies, and more.
You may want to request a portrait of a home, either as a housewarming gift or just to remember the old home place. I also enjoy portraiture of business buildings and
offices. Whether, simple, graceful, large or more elaborate, hand-lettering names and dates onto the home or people portraits
makes the gift even more personal.
Shipping and Handling is $20 to USA addresses. If the custom pencil portrait needs to be mailed outside the United States,
the shipping fee will be the actual cost to ship + $5 USD.
Orders placed June through August will take longer to complete. Orders needed for delivery before Christmas should be received
by November 10th.
